Talofa lava, malo e lelei, ni sa bula vinaka, namaste, kia orana, taloha ni, fakaalofa lahi atu, tēnā koutou,
Taita College offers a high quality education, where there is an emphasis on promoting and celebrating student achievement and success. We set high expectations, encourage inquiry at all levels, and design our curriculum to meet the needs of all of our students, ensuring that they have meaningful pathways. Our curriculum is innovative, inclusive, and culturally responsive. Teaching and learning is our focus, and students are encouraged to have a voice in decision making and be aware of their own learning needs.
Whanaungatanga is at the heart of everything we do, which means that partnership is very important to us. At Taita College we build positive relationships between teachers, students, whānau and the community. We encourage values such as manaakitanga, kotahitanga, pumanawatanga and rangatiratanga. Our vision values underpin our everyday practice, both in and out of the classroom environment. We know that when we work together, we can achieve together - One Heart, One Beat.
We encourage students to take all of the opportunities offered to them at Taita College, so that they can be the best that they can be. We feel that co-curricular activities are an important part of our holistic approach to education. Our house system engenders school spirit, and we offer both mentoring and leadership programmes. Our students are resourceful and take pride in themselves, their school and their community.
I am so proud to be a part of Taita College. It is a privilege to work with such a committed and dedicated staff, who all want the very best for every student.
